Mike Wyman, President, opened the meeting at 12:00. The Anti-Trust Statement was read. A copy of the Treasurers report was made available to attendees. The balance at 6/12/08 is $28,840.76. Mike reminded everyone to pay dues.
Kathy Chadwick, VP, read the 3/25/08 minutes.
Mike Wyman reminded everyone that we need to utilize the Association’s financial resources through industry & community outreach. He suggested that this could be done through granting educational scholarships. He encouraged everyone to send in suggestions.
Mike also advised that it’s time to consider new officers for 2009.
Mike allowed Gary Gummerson, Morrow Insurance to address the members regarding information gathered by Rob Cranford, Morrow Insurance, relating to contracts with sovereign tribal nations. Gary advised that some Surety company’s are making concessions; however, there is no consistent approach to the issue. Gary provided hand-outs to members showing two examples of Waiver wording.
Mike mentioned that there is a resume on the website for Ann Woodruff Newton
