Please mark your calendars to attend the last meeting of 2009 on Friday, December 11, 2009, at Cedarwood Country Club, 4100 Pineville-Matthews Rd., Charlotte, NC. Registration will begin at 11:30 AM. The cost is $35.00 per person.

Our guests will be representatives from the two charities that were selected in September – Hannah House, Columbia, SCand Alexander Youth Network, Charlotte, NC. We will hear from each representative and present them with checks for $2,000.00. Kathryn McCartha-Powersand John Williams are coordinating with these two charities.

We would like to do something a little different this year by collecting new unwrapped children’s toys for Toys for Tots in NC & SC. When you donate a toy you will receive a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for cash, gift certificates and other useful items. If you’d prefer, you may also make a monetary contribution. Of course, participation is not mandatory, but we thought this would be another way to promote our community outreach efforts at a time when so many people are out of work and struggling to provide even basic necessities.
